Baby Boys to Big Boys

Baby boys to big boys means... We had to convert their cribs to toddler beds. Saturday at nap time they both climbed out. So no nap on Saturday we thought a fluke. Well Sunday morning they were out of their cribs again. Mike and I didn't want to risk them doing it again and falling and breaking something. Needless to say there was no nap again Sunday, so we will see what happens tonight.

I also toddler-proofed their room... Put locks on the dresser, lock on the closet doors, put all electrics up on wall shelves, and turned their door knob so I can lock them in the room. Judge away if need be, but this mommy is a hard sleeper and might not wake up to little ones getting out.

Last night's sleep went pretty well. They cried at first but eventually climbed into one bed and fell asleep together, see last picture. About 10:00 Joey fell out of bed and of course I went running… Well then that turned into an hour of wrestling them back into bed. So instead I put them back in bed and closed the door… Within 5 minutes they were back in one bed again. This morning when I woke up both of them were on the floor sleeping. And when I got done getting ready they were both awake and happy as can be playing in their safe room. :)

Weekend / Coon Creek Days / Updates

This past week and weekend have been very busy. But at the same time I haven't had much too post either.

Coon Creek Days is a local yearly celebration we have in my hometown of Hampshire. My mom and I decided to do a garage sale and it went well!! I sold almost 50% of the boys baby clothes and sold 2 big baby items!! More room in the basement!! Also I ran in the annual race in CC Days the 10K and I did better than last year by 3 minutes!! Then at noon there is a parade... The boys waved and said hi to almost every car/float/truck... It was so cute. It was their 3rd CC parade! Their 1st year they were only over a month old.

Other things I don't want to forget...

Andrew & Joseph are saying and doing:

1. Every night we read Goodnight Moon and the mouse moves on every color page and this is what they say: Where did he go? There he is?

2. If Joseph is doing something wrong, Andrew will shout Jo Jo no no!!

3. They both have started playing hide-n-seek with the older kids at daycare.

4. Can almost repeat all words I ask.

5. Know all their major body parts, eyes, nose, ears, teeth, hair, fingers, toes, feet, belly, arms, and legs. Working on elbows and knees.

6. Andrew likes to swim under the water in our little kiddie pool.

7. Both love to swim! And make a huge mess when we do baths!!

8. Joseph is my better eater... But both still don't care for red meats or pork. Will eat chicken nuggets and fish fillets.

9. They love to wrestle each other and sometimes I have to pull them apart it gets too rough. LOL!!
